[edit] This page shouldn't be deleted

There's nothing hinting that the game is vaporware, the website just launch a matter of days ago. What is it that makes this game potential vaporware other then the fact that anything is possible within reason? Takuthehedgehog 15:59, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Aggreed no vaporware, Taco chance

I have moved some things around and tagged it with the future game tag. Seems more appropiate than vaporware since Activision had originally had originally announced the game last year. Arielguzman 01:05, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks,

Tacochance

[edit] Platform Source?

Does anyone have a source on what platforms this is appearing on? Was it on the ad in the manual? Takuthehedgehog 23:13, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the manual picture Godzilla Boy. It confirmed that the only platforms stated are PS2 and PSP. Takuthehedgehog 14:08, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

It's also on Xbox 360, Wii, and PC.

And your source is...? Takuthehedgehog 17:26, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
I finally bought Spider-Man 3 for Xbox 360 and it indeed does say the game is coming to Xbox 360. I need confirmations for PS3, Wii, PC, DS and GBA still though. Anyone with the game on PS3, PC, GBA, Wii or DS please confirm which systems the back of the manual says the game is coming out on. Takuthehedgehog 03:11, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

I belive it is also on 360, Wii, and PS3, because IGN seems to confirm it. [1]

IGN just puts the games on all systems its ps2 and psp exclusive.TheManWhoLaughs 16:40, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Gamespot has it on PS2, PSP, PC, Wii, DS, and Xbox 360. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/spidermanfriendorfoe/index.html

So does Gamefaqs. They have it on all but they manuals state ps2 and psp exclusive. The site even says it.TheManWhoLaughs 19:32, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

The Manual for the PS2 version says PS2 and PSP because they dont want to advertize for other consoles. The 360 manual says it's coming out for 360, as I said earlier. Takuthehedgehog 14:48, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Well how do u explain that the site says ps2 and psp exclusive? TheManWhoLaughs 22:58, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

What are you talking about? It doesn't even mention PS2 and PSP on the site.

Yes it does right now its only official for those 2 systems. If and when its announced that its for the others than add it but as of right now its ps2 and psp exclusive.TheManWhoLaughs 14:45, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Dude, Gamespot says it is on PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, DS, PC, and Wii. If it was exclusive to PS2 and PSP, then why do you have the Xbox 360 game page from Gamespot as a reference? It is not PS2 and PSP exclusive. Get over it.

Get over youreself dude just because they have a page on there doesnt mean its coming out. Ive only seen screenshots for the ps2 and psp. Until official screens are released for the others its not goin on there.TheManWhoLaughs 19:04, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

What screen shots? You mean from the site? The site doesn't even say the systems it's on. It's on all the systems mentioned above. Just because we don't see screen shots, doesn't mean it's not on the system.

Actually if you would do youre research instead of putting this crap you would see that the only official systems its been announced for is the ps2 and the psp the rest is just speculation right now. Also you have to sign youre post.TheManWhoLaughs 19:17, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, this isn't what IGN says. In fact, no systems have actually been announced:

"NOTE: This game has been confirmed for official release by the publisher but not announced for specific platform releases -- it may or may not be released for this specific system. Please check back for official info. "

So it looks like we should delete all the systems announced.

Alright.TheManWhoLaughs 19:21, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Okay.

there's a trailer on the 360 marketplace that confirms a 360 version

It has been announced for all of the platforms o the Wikipedia page. PS 2, and 3 PSP, DS, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC. This is all facts announced by the cmpany at E3 '07. --Symbiote-Spidey 17:48, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Symbiote-Spidey 12:46 13 July, 2007

stop removing the platforms from the infobox if you watch the trailer you'll see the platforms at the end

Really people! IT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED! Don't erase the platforms and put TBA! --Symbiote-Spidey 23:01, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Seriously STOP IT!!!

Until its on the official site dont add it.BlueShrek 15:07, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

It doesn't say that there will be a PS3 version. The Wii, Xbox 360, and the PS2/PSP versions are comfirmed by the trailer and Gamespot. So DONT change it. Leave it.

[edit] Okay Who...

Who erased the picture of Spider-Man, Doc Ock, Venom, Sandman, and Green Goblin? There was nothing wrong with that picture! --Symbiote-Spidey 19:33, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Release date

The Gamespot page for the game has said it will be released October 2.

[edit] This game has a PC demo!

If you have a VIP account at the Spider-Man 3(the game) website you get a newsletter and I received a newsletter and it says that a demo is out and it can be downloaded. Someone should add it with suitable text. Here's a screenshot. http://img67.imageshack.us/img67/7939/spidernw0.png —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.80.140.50 (talk) 20:01, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I downloaded the demo that's avalible on the Xbox 360 marketplace. It plays the opening movie sequence and it shows that it's actually the New Goblin who helps Spidey out at the beginning and not the Green Goblin. If everyones not too bothered, I've just made that slight change in the article. Inferno Sonic 21:20 17 September 2007 (UTC)

No, no. The PC demo is a playable demo. You play with Spidey and you choose if you want Venom or Goblin as your sidekick. You fight on some rooftops and then you have a boss fight against Doc Ock. After you beat him the demo ends. 80.80.140.50 20:05, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

It's the same as the Xbox 360 demo (with Vemom and Green Goblin playable), I was just talking about the opening movie sequence where the New Goblin helps Spidey. Inferno Sonic 11:00 13 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Voice acting

Has anyone else noticed that in the trailer/demo they released, it sounds like the person who does the voice of Spider-Man also did his voice in Battle for New York. Is that something we could put into the article? (When something official has been released of course, I wouldn't just add it in). Inferno Sonic 22:55 16 September 2007 (UTC)

I noticed that a 'voice actors' section has been put up. I don't know if it's because someone had seen my question or what but thank you anyways. I just knew James Arnold Taylor was the one providing the voice of Spider-Man. Inferno Sonic 17:58 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image Replacement?

I know Wikipedia's not to be based at all on personal opinions but the picture of the Goblin and Spider-Man just doesn't look good. The placement and such on the page is nice, but a better screenshot could probably be found. --66.217.98.4 10:22, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What happened to all of the characters?

Somebody erased like half of the characters! I checked the reference list, and although it wasn't properly put onto the page, the last reference includes all of the characters erased! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Symbiote-Spidey (talkcontribs) 20:34, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Requirements for citations

OK, I would understand the need for citations ordinarily, but since the game has been released, how is it controversial to put in characters that are in the game without a citation? There's no question that the Prowler and Nick Fury appear in the game, Prowler as a playable character and Fury as an NPC, so why the need to remove them? Dac 11:24, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Silver Sable doesn't appear in the PlayStation 2 version, except she's mentioned in Prowler's profile. --201.36.156.51 17:34, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Venom

Could I add in "Before it was mysterio, venom mentioned he was Bubble man". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Puncharoo (talkcontribs) 21:54, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] This page needs a gameplay section

Could someone with this game describe the game's gameplay by adding in a gameplay section? 166.214.237.90 (talk) 16:08, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

If someone is willing to create such a section, please make sure it is cited. Suggest using this as a precedent. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 03:28, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
