Spirit Halloween Superstores is a nationwide specialty retailer of Halloween merchandise with 434 stores across 46 states in the U.S. Spirit sells a wide assortment of costumes for men, women, and children, accessories, masks, wigs, makeup, lighting, party goods, and indoor and outdoor decorations through its stores and its year-round online shopping site. Spirit is also known for its unique animated decor only available at Spirit stores. Spirit is located mostly in shopping centers and some shopping malls, though its locations vary from year to year. It is open typically during the Halloween shopping season from September to October.
Spirit was founded by Joseph F. Marver in 1982 in San Francisco, California.
