Spind

Spind is a former municipality in Vest-Agder county, Norway.

It was created on 17 October 1893 by a split from Herad. At the time of creation Spind had 1.410 inhabitants. On 1 July 1916 a small part of Austad with 4 inhabitants was moved to Spind.

On 1 January 1965 Spind was incorporated into the enlarged Farsund municipality. Herad and Lista were also part of the merger, before which the population of Herad had dropped to 606.
