Spiderworld is a band started in 2001 by Dutchman Jim Reijers. In 2003, Laura Martín Cascón from Valencia (Spain) joined him.
Jim draws influences from bands like The Cure, Joy Division, Cocteau Twins and Strawberry Switchblade; the apocalyptic folk of Death In June and Current 93; and by a variety of other bands, such as the The Flaming Lips, Spinvis and the Stone Roses.
A fifteen-track debut album (Four Of Us On June Lake) was released through the duo's own Fleurs Arctiques label.
Spiderworld are currently working on their second album, The Fields.
