Spectral analysis may refer to:
- Spectrum analysis, in physics, a method of analyzing the chemical properties of matter from bands in their optical spectrum
- Spectral theory, in mathematics, a theory that extends eigenvalues and eigenvectors to linear operators on Hilbert space, and more generally to the elements of a Banach algebra
- Spectral analysis, in statistics, a procedure that decomposes a time series into a spectrum of cycles of different lengths. Spectral analysis is also known as frequency domain analysis.
- In nuclear and elementary particle physics, gamma ray spectroscopy, and high-energy astronomy, the analysis of the output of a pulse height analyzer for characteristic features such as lines, edges, and various physical processes producing continuum shapes.
