The Speaker is the presiding officer of the Kenyan Parliament (also known as the National Assembly of Kenya).

The speaker is elected by the assembly from among persons or are qualified to be members of the assembly. The Speaker's term ends once a new parliament is re-convened after dissolution. [1].
