Speaker City
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Speaker City is a Canadian consumer electronics retailer located in Vancouver, British Columbia that has been in the business of selling audio, video, and security products for home, car, marine and professional applications since 1977.
They have become a part of the pop culture lexicon in the form of T shirts and polo shirts with the Speaker City logo, due to the appearance of the store's logo in the 2003 film "Old School" by director Todd Phillips.
In the film the character of Bernard 'Beanie' Campbell, played by Vince Vaughn, owns several Speaker City franchises and uses his electronics superstore income to hold "Mitch-a-Palooza", a party for his recently divorced friend.
