Hey, Toby. Good to have you on board; congratulations as to your wedding (although few people would choose to marry the Personification of Death Itself). DS 23:52, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Articles for deletion

Hi, I'm sorry but I have proposed "Musings of A Thelemite" for deletion. Since this book has yet to be released, I do not see how it is of encyclopedic value. It links only to more articles about the book or the author, and you work for the company producing it. I hope you understand, you can tell by my user name that I would probably find your book interesting, and may even buy it, I just don't want to see wikipedia turned into free adspace. You can reach me at my user page if you need to. --Chaoscrowley 18:10, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

You challenge a PROD deletion by removing the {{prod}} tag and (best practice) discussing it on the Talk page. I've moved your comments to Talk:Musings of a Thelemite and removed the prod tag. I'll now formally list the article for deletion so the entire community, yourself included, can have a say. I hope that helps, and please don't be alarmed - it's Wikipedia business as usual. --kingboyk 01:52, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Kingboyk, I appreciate the help. I am not so much alarmed as I would simply like a bit of discussion before the page is deleted. Spacelord 01:54, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dropping the other shoe(s)

I've added PROD tags to the three Da'Neos articles you created and removed the reference from Thelema. The book might be great--I hope it does well--but at this point it's not notable enough to be included in the Thelema article, and the orchestrated nature of all these links clearly indicates an advertising campaign, which just isn't acceptable here. Please see WP:SPAM for more. Sorry about this--no disrespect intended, but so many people want to spam Wikipedia that we have to be vigilant. · rodii · 02:44, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Well call it what you want. The simple fact is that when one is working on a particular subject, one tends to write about related subjects. Its not like I get any money based on the publisher's work. I simply thought Wikipedia was a place for interlinking knowledge. I'm not retarded, and I know what spam is. I was simply adding to the subject of Thelema, which is of interest to me, because it is extremely light on Wikipedia. But that is fine. If we wish to be so excusive, I will just start dropping PROD tags on everything I see that I deem to be promotional of anything or in my opinion irrelevant. Spacelord 06:59, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

Speaking of which, I removed the {{prod}} on Destroy 2, since it arguably meets WP:MUSIC. I have no objection if you wish to take it to WP:AFD. Reading your last sentence, however, I get the feeling that WP:POINT is also among the pages you should read some time. -- grm_wnr Esc 13:32, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Well, so much for trying to be civil about this, eh? I'm not on a crusade to ruin your work or anything. The stuff I removed or prodded was all about a book that hasn't been published yet, so, almost by definition, it's not notable enough to be included here. If it does become so, I'll be happy for whoever Frater Da'Neos is. Or is he notable for some reason other than that book? If he is, just put some documentation in the article. This isn't personal, and I'm not accusing you of being a spammer (or retarded)--just suggesting that promotion isn't the purpose of Wikipedia.  ·  rodii  ·  15:16, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
