This page could use more work, it seems like a viable alternative to Bob Green's diet website.--Memo 05:33, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure why this keeps getting marked as an advertisement. This is a legimate, award-winning site. I had the help of the user Merope in creating this....tried to give good information about what the site and company do, not including any marketing-speak. How can I improve it? - I removed the proposed deletion tag. This article was approved by admin Merope on 9/25 as useful content about the nature of the SparkPeople company and sparkpeople.com free weight loss site. Jknepfle 14:22, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- The article gives information concerning a private company, SparkPeople, Inc., and establishes notability per WP:WEB. What else would you like me to do?Jknepfle 16:07, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Advertisement
Why hasn't this article been deleted? It's just an ad. OrangeMarlin Talk• Contributions 17:41, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- It's an article about a notable company that is not (in my opinion) overpromotional in it's tone. If you feel that any bits of it are in violation of WP:NPOV, then feel free to edit them. Darksun 19:15, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

- Definitely an advertisement.OrangeMarlin Talk• Contributions 19:42, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Then, as mentioned above, rewrite the parts you feel are advertising. The company is notable. Smashville 20:52, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:SparkpeopleLogo.jpg
Image:SparkpeopleLogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
