Talk:Spagthorpe
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
While working on this page, I started looking elsewhere on the Web for more information about its content. The company's site is rather odd, and looking at the supposed biographical info there I am starting to suspect that the entire thing may be fictitious.
Can anyone, maybe a fan of historical motorcycles, verify this article?
Also, I don't have the knowledge to supply some needed information:
- "...the Hajji railway that T.E. Lawrence blew up in the film."
- Which film is that?
- Also, does this "Hajji railway" have an article? Searching for that returns vague results.
- The "Bengal Rifles" probably has an entry on WP already, but I can't narrow it down to the correct article.
The article's text appears almost word-for-word on at least one other site:
- Due to the spelling mistakes there, I'd guess that it was the original source of this text.
Help! :)

It's total fabrication by idle and mischevious minds. Don't take my word for it, check out the Google Groups record of postings to uk.rec.motorcycles and search for 'spagthorpe'. Be warned that this usenet newsgroup contain postings that will offend some people, probably anyone who reads enough of it.
