Spathades (Greek: Σπαθάδες), also with the second a accented is a Greek town in the municipality of Paralithos in the Trikala Prefecture located north of the city of Trikala, 12 km northeast of Kalambaka and south-southeast of Grevena. Ardani had a population of 465 in 2001 for the settlement. Its residents are based in agriculture and other businesses including machinery.

After World War II and the Greek Civil War, the population steadily declined as residents moved to larger towns and cities and the richest countries in the world, the population dropped between the 1981 and 1991 but it grew between 1991 and 2001.

Electricity and automobiles arrived in the 1960s, it was linked with pavement in the late-20th century, television arrived in the 1980s. Internet and computers arrived in the late-1990s.

Spathades has a school, a lyceum (middle school), a gymnasium (secondary school) a few churches, banks, a post office and a square (plateia), its nearest and banks are in the outskirts of Trikala.
