Spar Island (Massachusetts)

Spar Island is a small sandbar in Mount Hope Bay in southeastern Massachusetts. The island is more or less a sand bar, and is made up entirely of an intertidal zone. It is only visible at extremely low tide. It is often left off modern maps, but many USGS maps from the early 20th century betray its existence.
