Spanky G is a former drummer of the band The Bloodhound Gang. Born Michael Joseph Guthier on March 13, 1979, in Souderton, Pennsylvania.
He left the band before Hooray for Boobies had been recorded in full. The official reason given was that he wished to finish his studies. Unofficially, the other members of the band (in particular Evil Jared Hasselhoff) said it was due to musical inconsistencies caused by drug use (specifically marijuana and PCP). Spanky's reasoning was that his bandmates, in particular Evil Jared Hasselhoff, were rather cruel to him.
Spanky was the drummer for the band Bloodphart, which featured (at the time) current and soon-to-be Bloodhound Gang members Skip O'Pot2Mus and Evil Jared Hasselhoff. After Skip, Daddy Long Legs, MSG and Tard-E-Tard had all left the Bloodhound Gang (Tard-E-Tard was a replacement for MSG), Jimmy Pop and Lupus decided to reform the group and reformulate their sound. To play drums, they brought on Spanky (who had played on the last song on Use Your Fingers, "K.I.D.S. Incorporated," with Evil Jared Hasselhoff on bass).
