Spanish NATO membership referendum, 1986

On 12 March, 1986 a referendum was held in Spain on that country's continuing membership of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. The question put to the Spanish electorate was:

¿Considera conveniente para España permanecer en la Alianza Atlántica en los términos acordados por el Gobierno de la Nación?

Do you think it advisable for Spain to remain in the Atlantic Alliance under the terms set down by the government?
