Spangle is a town in Spokane County, Washington, United States. The population was 240 at the 2000 census. The name is from William Spangle, early pioneer.

Some people believe that Spangle is where Butch Cassidy (Robert Leroy Parker) died from cancer in 1937, but the place and date of this individual's death remains unresolved.

Spangle is south of Spokane on US Route 195, an important north-south highway.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 240 people, 99 households, and 66 families residing in the town. The population density was 625.6 people per square mile (243.9/km²). There were 113 housing units at an average density of 294.6/sq mi (114.8/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.33% White, 0.42% Native American, and 1.25% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.50% of the population.
There were 99 households out of which 31.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.5% were married couples living together, 11.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% were non-families. 27.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 2.94.
In the town the population was spread out with 25.4% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 26.7% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 15.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 112.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 110.6 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $38,393, and the median income for a family was $40,556. Males had a median income of $31,071 versus $26,250 for females. The per capita income for the town was $17,128. About 10.3% of families and 18.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 28.3% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those sixty five or over.

Spangle is also notable as the home of Upper Columbia Academy, a boarding high school affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
