Spakenburg

Coordinates: 52°15′N, 5°22′E Spakenburg is a village north of Bunschoten and actually has fused with this village and is now formally called Bunschoten-Spakenburg. The village lays south of the IJsselmeer in the municipality Bunschoten, Utrecht province, the Netherlands. It is one of the few places left in The Netherlands where some women still wear local traditional clothes.

In the 20th century, the two villages have grown quickly, and since about 1965 they form one single town, officially named Bunschoten.

The football teams SV Spakenburg and IJsselmeervogels is located here.

Also the basketball team BC Shooters is located here.
