From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Spain selected its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 through Misión Eurovisión 2007 organised by TVE. The Spanish public chose NASH with their the song "I Love You Mi Vida". The song was composed by Thomas G:son and Andreas Rickstrand and written by Tony Sanchez-Ohlsson (Thomas G:son) and Rebeca Pous Del Toro.
The selection procedure called for artists to submit their participation and for songs to be submitted without any attachments to a specific artist. After four quarter finals, five artists - NASH, Mirela, Nazaret, Yanira Figueroa, and Merche Llobera - were selected to compete in the final on 24 February 2007. Internet voting and an internal jury selected the five songs that each performer would compete with. During the final, extracts of "La Reina De La Noche", "I Love You Mi Vida", "Una Lagrima", "Tu Voz Se Apagará", and "Busco un Humbre/Busco una chica" were performed. The five combinations that the public preferred went on to compete in a super final. When the final results were given, NASH and Mirela were tied throughout the voting. In the last districts to provide results, Nash pulled ahead and won Misión Eurovisión.
NASH entered into the final in Helsinki on May 12. They finished in twentieth position in the final with 43 points.
