Spain took part in the first Eurovision Dance Contest in 2007 and will participate in 2008 as well. In 2007, Amagoya Benlloch and Abraham Martinez were chosen to represent the country in the program ¡Mira Quién Baila a Eurovisión! (a special edition of the Spanish version of Dancing with the Stars). The dances they performed at the contest were Cha-Cha-Cha and Paso Doble. Spain came tenth after receiving 38 points from 7 countries.

In 2008, the new talent show ¡Quiero Bailar! ("I want to dance!") will select the Spanish representatives at the contest. It will premiere on June 14, 2008 with 16 contestants and will be aired every Saturday until there are four finalists. [1]
