Five years ago, in April, 2002, Space Shuttle mission STS-110 delivered to the International Space Station the Mobile Transporter (MT), an 885 kg (1,950 lb) assembly that glides down rails on the station's truss structure. Along with the Mobile Base System installed on the next Shuttle flight, the MT provides lateral mobility for Canadarm2 as it traverses the station's trusses. (more...)
