- 1963 - A Molniya rocket fails to launch a Luna spacecraft, after an upper stage control failure.
- 1965 - A Delta-C launches the OSO 2 scientific spacecraft.
- 1966 - A Delta-C launches the ESSA 1 weather satellite.
- 1966 - Luna 9, a robotic spacecraft launched by the Soviet Union, makes the first soft-landing on the Moon.
- 1971 - A Delta-M launches the NATO 2 communication satellite.
- 1972 - A Voskhod rocket launches a Zenit-2M spy satellite.
- 1973 - A Molniya-M launches a Molniya-1 communication satellite.
- 1974 - The fourth crew of Skylab conduct an EVA to collect experiment results.
- 1976 - A Kosmos-3M launches a Tsyklon navigation satellite.
- 1984 - Space Shuttle Challenger launches on mission STS-41-B, to deploy the Westar 6 and Palapa B2 satellites. Both comsats fail to reach their correct orbits after upper stage problems.
- 1988 - An Atlas-E launches the DMSP-5D-F2 weather satellite.
- 1988 - A Soyuz-U launches a Yantar spy satellite. The launch is successful, however the satellite fails to function.
- 1993 - A Delta II 7925 launches a GPS satellite.
- 1994 - Space Shuttle Discovery launches on mission STS-60 to conduct scientific research, and deploy a number of experimental satellites.
- 1994 - The H-II rocket makes its maiden flight, launching the OREX satellite.
- 1995 - Space Shuttle Discovery launches on mission STS-63 to rendezvous with Mir and deploy a number of radar calibration satellites.
- 2000 - A Zenit-2 launches a Tselina spy satellite.
- 2000 - An Atlas IIAS launches the Hispasat 1C communication satellite.
- 2005 - A Proton-M launches the first Spacebus 4000 communication satellite, AMC-12.
- 2005 - The Atlas III makes its final flight, and the last launch out of LC-36 at Cape Canaveral, orbiting two NOSS spy satellites.
- 2006 - The crew of the ISS perform an EVA to deploy SuitSat, and prepare the station for future assembly.
