This article was originally based on material from the Free On-line Dictionary of Computing, which is licensed under the GFDL.

The SP/k compiler we used in high school (1978ish) had an incredibly annoying "feature" in that it would try to fix compile errors and carry on, leading to cascading errors caused by the fixes.
