[edit] Album Controversy
Even that Mayre won "Latin American Idol", the album had no commercial success. Mayre's fans said that the failure of the album was fault of Sony BMG Mexico. The album was just released in Mexico and Venezuela, other reason for the album to failed.
Mayre said that she had been "the experiment" of the show and that she'll be leaving Sony BMG after the release of her second studio album (expected to be released in 2008, also by Sony BMG).
- The album only charted in Venezuelan charts
- The songs Soy Mi Destino and Quiero Soñar were written specially to the Latin American Idol winner.
- Mayre sang Corazón Espinado in the 2nd season of Latin American Idol
