Sowcarpet is a sprawling locality in the north of Chennai, India. It is a major business and currency circulation area, houses a range of wholesale markets, area is strung by rollicking Big Buildings and small streets, it can be called as mini chennai Mumbai. - - It is dominated by a majority north Indian community.
