Sovicille is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Siena in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 60 km south of Florence and about 10 km southwest of Siena. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,800 and an area of 143.7 km².[1]
The municipality of Sovicille contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Rosia, San Rocco a Pilli, and Volte Basse.
Sovicille borders the following municipalities: Casole d'Elsa, Chiusdino, Monteriggioni, Monteroni d'Arbia, Monticiano, Murlo, Siena.
