Sovereign State of Santander

The Sovereign State of Santander was a State in the former Country of Granadine Confederation which included the provinces of Socorro and Pamplona. Today the area of the former state makes up most of modern day areas of the Departments of Santander and Norte de Santander, northeastern Colombia.
