[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Cohort 4.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Cohort 4.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 10:06, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Gaya's Next Top Student Cohort 4.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Cohort 4.jpg. The copy called Image:Cohort 4.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. [edit] Your edits to Gaya's Next Top Student, Cohort 4 and related pages/images

Please do not create hoaxes, such as you did in the article Gaya's Next Top Student, Cohort 4. Please do not attempt to put misinformation into Wikipedia to test our ability to detect and remove it. This has been done before, with varying results. Most hoaxes are marked for deletion within a few hours after they are created. Some Wikipedians suspect that the majority of hoaxes here are attempts to test the system. Kindly — do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method is to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia, and then to check to see how long they have been in place and, if possible, correct them. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:GNTMcohort3.JPG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:GNTMcohort3.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. For persistently posting Gaya's Next Top Student articles, I have blocked you for a while. You are still allowed to edit here and I hope you will do so to explain your justification for those articles. -- RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 12:33, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Akademi fantasia logo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Akademi fantasia logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:30, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Marsha.jpg

Please do not indiscriminately upload unrelated images on top of existing images, as you did with Image:Marsha.jpg. The pre-existing image was of a character from a comic strip, and you uploaded a screenshot of an unrelated celebrity webpage without checking the existing links to it, or updating the fair use rationale (which still stated that the image was from a comic). It is unclear why this change was made, as the new image was never added to any articles. The image has been reverted. — Gwalla | Talk 21:44, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to America's Next Top Model, Cycle 10. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Akademi fantasialogo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Akademi fantasialogo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --19:35, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Akademi_fantasialogo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Akademi_fantasialogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 20:49, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
