About SouthernNights

I am an administrator and veteran editor whose interests range from health issues to literature. In my two years at Wikipedia, I have taken it upon myself to update and edit a number of literary articles and articles about writers. I also have a strong interest in issues regarding the Southern United States (as might have been deduced from my username).

Anyone needing admin assistance should feel free to leave a message on my talk page.

Deceased Wikipedians

What happens if a Wikipedian dies? He or she just doesn't show up to edit anymore. Does anybody notice? Does anybody really even care? To all those Wikipedians who may have died and been forgotten here, thank you for your contributions and rest in peace. If you know of any Wikipedians who have passed away, please add them to the deceased Wikipedians page I have created. (Thanks to User:Lord Voldemort for first writing this blurb.)

Featured Articles and Good Articles

  • Uncle Tom's Cabin (Image:LinkFA-star.png)
My second featured article. Wrote and researched majority of the article. First brought it to good article level before finishing the journey with FA status.
  • William Shakespeare (Image:LinkFA-star.png)
I've done way too much work on this article over the years (something like 350 plus edits) to list everything here.

The Barnstar of High Culture
I commend your hard work on William Shakespeare. Choosing to edit such a high-profile, controversial and research-intensive article is a mark of patience, perseverance and dedication to Wikipedia that is rarely seen. We clearly need more editors, such as yourself, who are willing to raise the level of the literature articles on Wikipedia. Awadewit | talk 04:38, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
