Template:Sources-warn

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, I noticed that you created [[{{{1}}}]], but listed no sources for the information contained in the article. According to Wikipedia's content policies, all information must be verifiable from reliable sources. Therefore, it's necessary to cite your sources so other editors can check that the information included in the article is correct and matches the sources used. Information not previously published in such sources is prohibited as original research, since other editors can't verify it. Unsourced information may be challenged and removed at any time, and articles that can't be verified are likely to be deleted. Guidance on how to cite your sources is available, and if you need any further help, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. The parameter for this one is mandatory, because it's for new articles.

Template usage notes
  • Most test(n) templates take a single optional parameter: the name of the page to which the template applies. If provided, this page will be cited in the warning.
  • test5 optionally takes two parameters:
    1. The first is the duration of the block (with "temporarily blocked" as the default if a specific period is not provided).
    2. The second is the name of the page to which the template applies. If provided, this page will be cited in the warning.
  • Please refer to the index of test templates before using any template on user talk pages to warn a user. Applying the best template available for your purpose may help reduce confusion from the message you are sending.
  • Please remember to substitute the template—use {{subst:Sources-warn}} rather than {{Sources-warn}}.
