[edit] Internal contradiction needs cleanup

"The pioneering South Carolina Canal and Rail Road Company... ran the nation's first regularly scheduled steam powered passenger train .. on December 25, 1830. (The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad ran regular passenger service earlier that year.)"

So, which was first? The SCC&RR Co or the B&O?70.145.94.239 (talk) 01:57, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Article name

I was glad to see the move back to US vs United States in the article name. I don't understand the rational for the earlier change. If such is to be considered, I think it would be appropriate to discuss it here, especially in consideration of the many linked articles. Vaoverland 09:52, Mar 11, 2005 (UTC)
