Talk:South Heighton

I believe that it was the underground base itself that was called HMS Forward, in the traditional Naval way of naming their shore bases. The hilltop entrance was discovered under the floorboards of the corner room (I forget the number, though I have been in it) in Denton House during its redevelopment I have not as yet changed the article, but would welcome discussion, agreement or refutation.Anthony.bradbury 20:51, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
- I believe you are correct with regard to the name of the base, but I do think that the ship was called HMS forward, too. The entrance was indeed found under the floorboords in Denton House. There was also an exit/entrance at the bank below Portland Terrace, and a 'secret' exit disguised as a chicken-box by what we all know as Queenies.
