[edit] First principal

  • Two questions have been raised:

1.) Whether the first principal at South Grand Prairie High School was Eugene Head or Bryce London? and 2.) Did the first principal chose the mascot in homage to his alma mater, Bonham High School (home of the Purple Warriors)? The following text has been removed from the article, pending substantiation: "The school's mascot, the Warrior, has been a part of the school since its opening. South Grand Prairie's first principal, Eugene Head, chose the mascot in homage to his alma mater, Bonham High School (home of the Purple Warriors)." Bejnar 20:49, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks to Web Archive I found that Bryce London was principal from 1969-1972, and Eugene Head was principal 1972-1985. I haven't been able to confirm the story about the mascot yet. Bejnar 17:26, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
