IMO, I don't think that there is any question about the notability of the content of the article. It is one of the more recognized episodes in college sports bout a lack of sportsmanship being displayed by the athletes involved.--CobraGeek (talk) 19:36, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

agreed, notability I think is definitely obvious. Clemson has 14,172 undergrads and 3,137 grad students. University of South Carolina has 18,648 undergrads and 8,742 grad students. This bitter rivalry has gone on for over 105 years, and is quite important to residents of South Carolina, be they Clemson (Tommy Bowden) or South Carolina (Steve Spurrier) fans. Furthermore, the Pacers, Pistons brawl (which happened 1 day prior to this brawl) : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacers-Pistons_brawl is widely accepted to be notable, as well as the Miami FIU brawl : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami-FIU_brawl (which does not have the 105 years of history behind the rivalry) has been recognized as being notable. Clearly the notability should not be in dispute. This document should serve to identify the parties involved, and the fact that Lou Holtz has admitted his retirement contributed to a lack of control which led to the brawl : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_Holtz Reverseknarf (talk) 05:26, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
