Talk:South Brother Island
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I think the US must use a different system of measuring from the rest of the world. The two islands having a total area of 81,000 square meters? That's 80 kilometers!! The size of a small city! The same sort of thing is written in the article on Liberty Island. Andy Johnston (talk) 14:17, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
I take it you meant 80 square kilometres. 1000 square meters does not equal 1 square kilometre); 1 square kilometre is 1,000,000 square metres (1000 X 1000). so 81,000 square metres is 0.081 square kilometres Seamus42 (talk) 23:45, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
