[edit] Speedy Deletion
Sorry, I did not really notice that I was advertising this club. It should not be delteted because it is an important place in Houston, Texas' Montrose district. The club features itself as the only afterhours club in Houston and also includes a feature that is only found in the Southwest.
- I deleted the speedy deletion template; I may have been too aggressive in putting it up in the first place. The most important thing that this article needs are some outside references showing that the club is notable. BassoProfundo 20:11, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- It's ok, I'm new to the world of wiki. Hahah.--Thenderson1 20:21, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Near Town or Montrose? Gay Bars..
I would have figured "neartown" is closer to "W. Gray" and "Allen Parkway". The Montrose has always been referred to as a section of a city unto itself.
Also, if this is left on here, perhaps it should be placed in a subcategory for "Gay Bars in Houston" to be inclusive to the area. While I'm interested in expanding this (and Montrose overall), I think the nightlife should have it's own little section whether it's gay or straight and still maintain a certain neutrality. --Hourick 17:01, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Montrose is located within Neartown's boundaries. I'm not sure, but I believe South Beach (nightclub) is the only Houston gay bar on Wikipedia. I would suggest that a new article "Nightlife in Houston, Texas" be created for the entire city, organized by location, music style/genre, etc. Create a "Nightlife in Houston, Texas" category and put the new article and any club/bar articles in this category. We can then link the new "Nightlife in Houston, Texas" article from the Houston, Texas and Culture of Houston as a "See also" reference. Postoak 20:49, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough, I think a mention in a "proposed nightlife" section would do nicely then. Generalities mentioned and observed, of course. --Hourick 22:45, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
