Southwest LRT Trail

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Southwest LRT Trail is a system of bicycle trails on the southwest side of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The two rail corridors that the trail runs within were acquired for future light rail transit use as part of the Southwest Corridor project.

The Southwest LRT Trail actually consists of two separate trails running within roughly parallel abandoned rail corridors. The north trail runs about 15 miles from Hopkins to Victoria. The south trail runs about 15.5 miles from the end of the Midtown Greenway to Chanhassen. Both trails have a crushed limestone surface.
