"Southside" is a song recorded by R&B singer Lloyd Polite and released in 2004 as his debut single from his first album Southside. The single was moderately successful, peaking at number #13 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number #24 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single featured his labelmate Ashanti. The song also has a Remix, the remix features Ashanti and Scarface, and it was his last and third single from his album Southside.
Two music videos were made for "Southside": one for the regular version featuring Ashanti and one for the remix version featuring Ashanti and Scarface. Irv Gotti & Ja Rule also appeared in the video. The theme of the video is based on the movie A Bronx Tale.
"Southside" also reached number one on the hit BET show 106 & Park where Lloyd Polite and Ashanti Douglas performed the song.
