Southfield Christian School is located on Lahser Road in Southfield, Michigan, USA. A ministry of Highland Park Baptist Church, Southfield Christian is a college-preparatory educational community committed "to pursuing excellence for the glory of God." Founded in 1970, it educates around 825 students in grades K-12.[2]

As of the 2005-06 school year, the school had an enrollment of 671 students and 49.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 13.6.[1]

In February 2007, the school introduced an innovative approach to accessibility when 6th graders recorded lessons and made them available as podcasts on the school website.[3]

In the first legal test of a new state law requiring background checks for school teachers, a judge, in March 2006, refused to expunge a previous sex-related conviction from the record of a teacher, who was sacked from the school.[4] Consequently, later that year, the state revoked his teaching licence, despite the offences having taken place some 20 years previously.[5]

The Southfield Christian baseball team dominated the Michigan Independent Athletic Conference going 38-1 during 2000-2004.[6]
