Southernside Montessori School^[1], more commonly known for its acronym SMS is a private school in the Philippines that offers Pre-School education up to High-School education. Currently, its campus is located along Katihan st. corner Camella 4 Homes at Brgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.^[2]

Founded in 1988, it was once a small pre-school with a small faculty. Now, it has dramatically expanded to almost a faculty of 75 teachers and almost 3,000 students. The facilities includes the Gymnasium, Canteen, Garden, Audio Visual Room, Physics Room, Chemistry Room, Biology room, T.L.E Room, H.E.L.E room, Quadrangle, Pre-School Playground, Clinic, Computer Lab, Library, Speech Lab, Viewing lab, Music Laboratory and the numerous classrooms for its students. The school lies beside the South Luzon Expressway and it is one of the best schools in the city. The owner of SMS, Mrs. Nelia Barlis, is also the Muntinlupa City Treasurer. The School has undergone several expansions in terms of facilities.

SMS follows the Montessori curriculum which is greatly exercised especially throughout the Pre-Schoolers. Pre-School has four levels unlike the usual NKP (Nursery, Kinder and Preparatory) system in most schools. Pre-schools levels in order are: Junior Casa (JC), Junior Advanced Casa 1 and 2 (JAC 1 and JAC 2) and Advanced Casa (AC).
