Southern New England School of Law is located in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. It is a non-profit law school that is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.


Southern New England was founded in 1981.

Southern New England School of Law is not accredited with the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education.[1] As such graduates may not be allowed to sit for bar exams in various states and/or apply for law licenses in various states.[2]

Graduates of the law school can sit for the bar exams of Connecticut and Massachusetts.[3]

It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.[4]

Graduates are also allowed to practice law in front of Federal Court of Appeal and Federal District Court of Eastern New York and Southern New York, which includes New York City[citation needed].

The law school is located in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, next to New Bedford, Massachusetts.

It is about an hour drive from Boston, Massachusetts, half hour from Providence, Rhode Island and Cape Cod. It is three and a half hours from New York City
