Southern Football League 1904-05

The 1904-05 Southern Football League season was the 11th in the history of the Southern League, a football competition in England. The League was comprised of future Football League sides and non-league clubs. The teams in the League were divided into First and Second Divisions.

[edit] Promotion and relegation

This season saw no First Division teams apply for election to the Football League, with no relegation as Wellingborough left the League at the end of the season; they were replaced by newly-elected Norwich City. In the Second Division Brighton & Hove Albion II and Southall left the League at the end of the season, while Clapton Orient applied for election to the Football League and were successful, taking their place in Football League Division Two. They were replaced by newly-elected Crystal Palace, Southern United, Leyton, and St Leonard's United.
