Southern By The Grace Of God is a live album by southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, this live concert was a tribute by Lynyrd Skynyrd to the members of their band who had died in the 1977 plane crash. The plane crash sadly killed frontman vocalist Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines and backing vocalist Cassie Gaines. This is the first album featuring what some fans tend to call the "new" Lynyrd Skynyrd, meaning that there have been changes: Johnny Van Zant taking over on vocals, Ed King and Randall Hall on guitar (along with Gary Rossington), and the new backing vocalist Carol Bristow (who sings alongside Dale Krantz Rossington).
