The Southern Black Flycatcher, Melaenornis pammelaina, is a small passerine bird of the genus Melaenornis in the flycatcher family Muscicapidae native to Africa.
This species has a large range, with an estimated global extent of occurrence of 4,200,000 kmĀ². The global population size has not been quantified.
