Southern Azerbaijan National Awakening Movement

The Southern Azerbaijan National Awakening Movement (SANAM) (Azerbaijani: Güney Azerbaycan Milli Oyanış Herekatı) (GAMOH) is a Baku-based[1] nationalist political group that advocates the separation of Iranian Azerbaijan from Iran and claims to represent the interests of Iran's Azerbaijani minority. It was founded in 1995 by Mahmudali Chehregani.
