Southend Cliff Railway

The Southend Cliff Railway is a funicular in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, constructed in 1912.

It is 130 feet (40 m) long and climbs 57 feet (17 m). The single car runs on 4 feet 6 inches (1,400 mm) gauge track with a 1 foot 9 inches (530 mm) gauge counterbalance beneath the main track.[1]
