South Wootton

South Wootton (pop 2001 census - 3,717) is a village in north-west Norfolk approximately 2 miles north-east of King's Lynn. The older part of the village is based around the village green and St Mary's church, there has however been a fair amount of new housing built since the 1960's. There are two schools in South Wootton, South Wootton First School and South Wootton Junior School the former feeding into the latter.
The Church of the Virgin Mary in South Wootton is an Anglican Church, under the control of the Rector of the Woottons, The Reverend Tony Higton. The Church websitecontains a wealth of information about the area and the work of the community.
