South Park action figures

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The animated series South Park has had two collectible action figure lines produced over the course of its popularity. The first collection was produced by Mirage starting in 2003; Mezco began a new line in 2006. The figure have been made available at retailers such as Spencer's Gifts, Hot Topic, and Suncoast Motion Picture Company. The following figures were released:

[edit] Series 3

During this series, a Satan figure was also produced. Supposedly, the figure was exclusive to Suncoast, but this is unconfirmed.

[edit] Series 4

Series 4 is available from online dealers, but never made it to stores. This is due largely to the death of Mirage Toys.

[edit] Mezco Toyz

This new line is considered vastly superior to the Mirage versions, with more articulation and accessories. Whereas the Mirage used simple blister card packaging, Mezco's figures now use the clamshell. Mezco's line also brings variants into the series.

With this series, the line is chipped down to four figures per series, rather than six in the previous three.
