South Kodikulam is a panchayat town in Virudhunagar district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census[1], South Kodikulam had a population of 11,975. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. South Kodikulam has an average literacy rate of 46%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 55%, and female literacy is 37%. In South Kodikulam, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
