South Johnston High School

South Johnston High School (also referred to as "South") is a comprehensive secondary high school for grades 9-12 located in Four Oaks, North Carolina. The school was built in 1969 in order to integrate the area's "all-white" and "all-black" schools. As of the 2007-2008 school year, it is currently in its 38th year of operation. The current principal in Barry Honeycutt, who became principal of the school at the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year.
The school mascot of South Johnston is the Trojan, and the school colors are green and gold.
The school is located in the Southern portion of Johnston County. Although the school's address is Four Oaks, it actually is closer to the nearby town of Benson. Middle schools that feed into South Johnston include Benson Middle, Four Oaks Middle, and Meadow School (K-12).
