South Humberside

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

South Humberside is a former postal county of England. It was established in 1974 after the local government reform and consisted of the part of Humberside south of the Humber, i.e. the northern strip of the historic county of Lincolnshire.

It included the following post towns:

  • BRIGG
  • CLEETHORPES
  • GRIMSBY
  • SCUNTHORPE

Since 1996, the area is part of the unitary authorities of North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. The term South Humberside is now rarely used.
