South Hobart/Sandy Bay Cricket Club

South Hobart/Sandy Bay Cricket Club (SHSBCC), also known as "The Sharks", is a Grade level cricket club representing both South Hobart and Sandy Bay in Tasmania's Grade Cricket Competition. The club was formed by a merger of two previous clubs from each of these suburbs.
SHSBCC play their home games at Queenborough, in Sandy Bay, Hobart.
South Hobart were very successful in the 1930's but faded after that time.
Today the Club has a Youth program with over 160 juniors playing Milo Have-a-Go through to U-17.
Current players include Adam "Star" Polkinghorne, Sam "The Body" Paske, Damian "Sugar" Green, Heath "Bui Chong" Griggs, Mark "Mr Hobart" Stewart, George "Geronimo" Bailey, Xavier "Cheeeese" Doherty, Alex "Lenny Siragusa" Doolan, John "Bloker" Sales, Chris "Oompa Loompa" Duval, Terrence "Give the Purple Jacket Back" Hamilton, Matt 'Plugga' Clarke, Wills "Gooch" Thompson, Tim "Pumpkin" Blacker, Matt "Skulla Beer" Wilson, Jamie "Escott" Clark, Lawrence "Asian" Owen, Tom "Seagull" Wright and Tim "Buckets" Cannon.
